Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald


F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American novelist and short story writer who became one of the leading voices of the Modernist movement. Born Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he captured the spirit and excesses of the Jazz Age through his writing. His masterpiece "The Great Gatsby" (1925) was among several major works, including "The Beautiful and Damned" (1922), "Tales of the Jazz Age" (1922), and "Tender Is the Night" (1934). Though he spent much of his career on the East Coast and in Europe, he ultimately passed away in Los Angeles, California, where he is buried.
